Have you ever noticed that when you're thinking not-so-cheery thoughts, not-so-cheery things happen, and when you're focused on great things, great things happen?
It's so simple it's easy to forget.
I notice sometimes that I'm so caught up in the negative that it screws my day up. Like when I'm stressing that Fucktards sentencing has been pushed out another month.. again. Or when my bank account has $12, I only have $7 cash and the bills are piling up. Or when I dwell on the feeling that my kids are being more argumentative than usual. When I'm running these things over and over in my mind I miss out what's happening around me... simple, great things that have nothing to do with Fucktard, money or the attitudes of yesterday.
The bills might get paid a little late, but they do get paid. The kids play together more than they fight and I may have to repeat myself but they do listen.
It's just as easy to notice and dwell upon the naturally great things. Recognizing that Curtis just took care of my breakfast plate, just to be nice while I'm typing, or that Sabrina noticed me doing the dishes yesterday and started drying them and putting them away without a word; that Brian asks me every single morning if I've slept well and how safe I feel wrapped up in Keiths arms.
:) Dwell on the good things and you'll attract more good things.
